Once you’ve been evaluated and assigned a risk level, you’re ready to start classes. Individuals must complete all recommendations in order to be compliant with court and regain driving privileges should driving privileges become revoked. New Visions is licensed and approved to provide all levels of DUI counseling and education.
- Minimal Risk: 10 hours of Risk Education (4 classes)
- Moderate Risk: 10 hours of Risk Education and 12 hours of Early Intervention (4 sessions)
- Significant Risk: 10 hours of Risk Education and 20 hours of Substance Abuse Counseling (7 sessions) with 6 months of Aftercare
- High Risk: 75 hours of Substance Abuse Treatment (25 sessions) with 12 months of Aftercare

New Visions offers Risk Education classes and DUI counseling sessions multiple times per week. Our Risk Education program can be completed in just two weeks and simultaneously with the counseling hours, allowing you to complete your requirements faster!

All in person groups will be limited to 8 people due to social distancing requirements and space limitations. While we do not see these limit causing issues, we are encouraging all clients to call a head and reserve their spot for group.
Just in need of aftercare? No problem. New Visions offers the most flexible and convenient options around. Offered the same days and times as counseling, we facilitate 16 aftercare sessions every month for you to choose from.

Alcohol / Substance Abuse Counseling
Along with DUI counseling, New Visions also provides Basic and Intensive Outpatient treatment services for adults struggling with alcohol or substance related problems. We specialize in working with clients involved in the legal system, so our staff fully understands the unique challenges and apprehension that comes along with participating in substance abuse treatment mandated by court. New Visions creates a caring and comfortable environment where clients can successfully complete their treatment requirements while also learning valuable skills and knowledge to foster positive lifestyle changes.
Anger Management & Domestic Violence
One night a week, New Visions conducts court approved anger management and domestic violence classes. These classes are held every Wednesday night from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This class is run by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been running the program for over 20 years. Per Illinois standard, the domestic violence program lasts 26 weeks and the anger management program lasts 10 weeks. Please note, these classes are male only given the nature of the program.
